For Christ did not enter a sanctuary made by human hands, a mere copy of the true one, but he entered into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God on our behalf.

I have stood in some spectacular sanctuaries in my life. Soaring pillars and ceilings - the sight of which reaches a hand to one's chin and tilts it up. Light from windows dancing with color working like tractor beams drawing one into the celebration. Voices hushed in the presence of rarified air that is both humbling and comforting. Such sanctuaries are playgrounds for our spirit to pull away from our grip and race into the Wonka factory of utter freedom, complete grace and absolute safety. Imagine the most fantastic sanctuary you have ever seen, the handiwork of inspired architects, builders and artists. Remember this is just a copy of what it means to stand free and loved in the presence of the living God.

Thank you a glimpse of the kingdom and help us never to settle for less. Amen.
