But no one can enter a strong man’s house and plunder his property without first tying up the strong man; then indeed the house can be plundered.

Satan, Jesus, us? So who is the strong man in this metaphor and who is the plunderer? This is from a gospel that often focuses on the power and authority of Jesus against the power and authority of the world. Evil binds us up and can plunder our house. Evil bound up Jesus in death in order to plunder his house, but failed because evil's binds could not withstand the power of God. I often have witnessed and personally experienced how we give power to an evil system that sucks the life out of us. If we have power to give away then we have power to bind up. Our power is in the cross of Christ. Evil has never known what to do with unconditional love.
