And you shall know that I am the Lord, when I open your graves, and bring you up from your graves, O my people. I will put my spirit within you, and you shall live, and I will place you on your own soil; then you shall know that I, the Lord, have spoken and will act,” says the Lord.

One could argue about many things related to the existence and nature of God, but one indisputable thing about the God as revealed in the Bible is that God knows human beings. God knows how we tick. We are self-centered. We like freedom. We can't keep ourselves from dying. Most of the reasons that we push back in our relationship with God is because we love ourselves and freedom so much. One of the big reasons we keep him in the corner of our eye is that no matter what road we take it leads to death. We can't promise ourselves that we can find life after death any more than we can keep ourselves from dying. God knows us well enough to know that resurrection gets our attention every time. The cross of Christ is the truest human experience. Easter is the best deal in town.
