I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— not that there is another gospel, but there are some who are confusing you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ gives us just enough truth to be dangerous. There are times when the terminology of weaponry when associated with the Gospel is probably accurate: ballistic, brandish, explosive, wmd, boots-on-the-ground, shock-and-awe. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is regime-changing and world-shaking. The Gospel is not to be used to promote the agenda of any one human trait, ideology, nationality, or even church over another. It is not to be melted into a seal of approval on whatever or whoever turns our head. Jesus Christ's life, death and resurrection were volitile events that are still shaking us at the core of our beliefs. If we don't feel the shaking, we are standing on the wrong story.

Your dangerous grace is still the best hope for us all, Lord. Amen.
