Philippians 3:21-4:1
He will transform the body of our humiliation that it may be conformed to the body of his glory, by the power that also enables him to make all things subject to himself. Therefore, my brothers and sisters, whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, stand firm in the Lord in this way, my beloved.

I am a selfish worm.  "Body of humiliation" is a glorious way to put a tutu on a pile of poo.  When I am composting in on myself what helps is peeking through the wreckage and seeing you....yeah, you there staring at a glowy screen.  I see you loving families relentlessly to the point of exhaustion, tending goats, plunging toilets, stuck in traffic, and still you face each day with a shred of dignity that only God can give.  You are a joy.  You are a shiny thing that doesn't even know what it can do with light.  Stand firm.  Wait up.  Let me take a shower in my baptismal promises and catch up with you.

Holy God, transform me into something that can be a beacon to someone sitting today inside a pile of poo.  Amen.
