ELOGOS for Tuesday

I Corinthians 10:15-17
I speak as to sensible people; judge for yourselves what I say. The cup of blessing that we bless, is it not a sharing in the blood of Christ? The bread that we break, is it not a sharing in the body of Christ?Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all partake of the one bread.

Hunker down. It is a phrase I learned too well living in hurricane-prone country. It is "everyone for themselves" time. Make your decisions on what is best for yourself, your family, your property.  Stock up on provisions and shelter in place.  When we resurface after the storm, we assess our damages. Some of us might reach out to neighbors to give a helping hand and for a moment we glimpse the peace with one another we all long for. Apostle Paul in writing to fractured Corinthians pleads with them to consider starting their journey where they will finish - together.
