Galatians 2:19-20
For through the law I died to the law, so that I might live to God. I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

A colleague of mine is a Vonnegut fan and recently posted Kilgore Trout's creed: "You were sick, but now you're well and there's work to do." Apostle Paul is saying that to the Galatians in so many words. The life we have received as a gift has work to do. It is the work of loving as we have been loved, welcoming as we have been welcomed, forgiving as we have been forgiven. There are wrongs to right. There are little ones to be fed. There are books to read and poetry to pen. Welcome to your life.

I'm here, Lord, ready for duty. Amen.
