Ephesians 1: 7-8
In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace that he lavished on us.

I sing the song of a rich man.  Wild hair and boots, with a long, easy stride. He wears his grace more fiercely these days, fighting the good fight.  He pens poetry and laps up the juice of justice and learns how to awaken the sleeping giant. He flashes heartfire the most for those who are picking up broken pieces of their dignity and cradling them with songs of hope. And his riches come from peach cobbler cooked over an open fire, hand-made ice cream, a Texas sunset, and traveling companions and knowing that the grace lavished on him that day will come again tomorrow and the next until all are rich.

Thank you, God, for the wealth of your grace and those who remind us who we are. Amen.
