Psalm 19:14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. * * * * * When I say something that is painfully misunderstood or outright hurtful, I have a tendency to shut down assuming that the best way to prevent any further harm is just keeping my mouth shut. Never works and it never is a practical or good way to deepen relationships and make them better. Waiting passively until the next moment of unthinking verbage spews forth only continues the cycle of linguistic stupidity. The alternative is asking God to help. The effectiveness of that prayer never ceases to amaze me. I just need to pray it more often! * * * * * Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. Amen.
