Be mindful of your mercy, O Lord, and of your steadfast love, for they have been from of old.
Do not remember the sins of my youth or my transgressions; according to your steadfast love remember me, for your goodness’ sake, O Lord!

Did you know that Sheetrock is a brand name for dry wall like Kleenex is a name for tissue? I didn't know that. I didn't know that sheetrock or drywall or wallboard is made of gypsum and that there is a large vein of gypsum that cuts in a large arch across the United States. And most all of the sheetrock or whatever you call it is produced by factories that were built along that vein. In these days of struggle and recovery, we are all seeking to tap a vein deep within us to rebuild houses but homes need more than drywall. Homes are built and sustained by more than memories and wounds that have never healed. Our lives need mercy and love to survive and thrive. We mine the vein that we have known to be rich and unending "from of old." The "steadfast love" of God is the sheetrock of ages.

Holy God, be merciful to us and remember love. Amen.
