Psalm 19:14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. * * * * * * * After I wrote the first draft of my book, Pedestrian Theology, I placed it in the hands of a trusted friend named Erika for her critique and she gave it to me. Though she liked the overall content, it needed work and she helped me make it better. The psalmist by this prayer invites us to offer up our thoughts and words to God for inspection. How might our days be different if we considered this prayer before we spoke to our children, before we spoke to customers, before we spoke to those in need, before we spoke about those who irritate us, before we spoke at all to anyone? * * * * * * * May my words be the vehicles for your grace, O Lord. Amen.
