Galatians 1:21-24
Then I went into the regions of Syria and Cilicia, and I was still unknown by sight to the churches of Judea that are in Christ; they only heard it said, “The one who formerly was persecuting us is now proclaiming the faith he once tried to destroy.”And they glorified God because of me.

Though I can appreciate the affection for the oft-repeated "Footsteps in the Sand" poem, I think I have been more impressed by the times I changed directions in my life. Those changes often happened happened after God gave me a swift kick. Never underestimate the powerful witness of a changed life, especially your own!  God sends the swift kick wrapped in a variety of people and signs.  It may be just what we need to break an unhealthy habit, improve a relationship or change our outlook. It may be that God is saving someone else's life through us.  The divine swift kick is worthy of our attention.

Holy God, may I not make you work so hard.  Amen.

AMEN! I've been kicked more than once &unfortunately will probably happen again, but fortunately He doesn't have to kick as hard as He did when I was young.

Jeanie, you were one of the folks who ....oh, so, gently....kicked me when I was wrong. I could not make right that wrong but God did, indeed, use you to save a piece of me.
