Luke 17:5-6
The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!” The Lord replied, “If you had faith the size of a mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.

My 6-year old goddaughter prayed recently that God would clean her room.  She did not ask God for the determination to do it or for his teamwork with her.  She asked for a miracle. The disciples seemed to be questioning the measure of their own faith or were so greedy to think they wanted more than anyone else. Faith is given to us all.  It matters not how much it tips a scale.  The disciples simply did not know what they had. My goddaughter was already taking her faith out for a spin, however missplaced, she took it out to see what it could do.  She wasn't concerned about whether or not she had enough faith. How many of us can say that we have really taken our faith out for a spin?

Holy God, help us use the keys in our hands. Amen.
