Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave room for the wrath of God; for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” No, “if your enemies are hungry, feed them; if they are thirsty, give them something to drink; for by doing this you will heap burning coals on their heads.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

This is really hard to do. It involves trusting God with vengeance(and we know how incredibly gracious God is). It involves restraint (and even the best of us don't have stockpiles of restraint all the time). It involves remaining in relationship with the very people we are having the problems with(and we would so love to just blow them off). It involves choosing to live according to God's will and God's ways instead of going with the flow(and the flow is so much easier). This is really hard to do(and we know how incredibly gracious God is).
