If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will give life to your mortal bodies also through his Spirit that dwells in you.

A few weeks ago as I was woodcarving, I cut my finger. It was not in the "needs stitches" category but deeper than I have ever cut myself. I got good advice and the right supplies to care for it over the messy, dirtier days of camp. It is now healed. A slight scar, for certain- a good reminder to me to be careful in the future. I am still wowed and amazed at my body's ability to heal such wounds. I did not through my own will make it so. I just protected it long enough to let it do what it could do. I realize that not all wounds or diseases work like this, but nevertheless, I believe that the Spirit of the Living God can do anything it wants. I am amazed and grateful that it wants to make us forever whole and alive in God's Son.

For your healing spirit and all who help make healing happen, I give you thanks. Amen.
